The Industrial Revolution

What event changed history changed history so much and brought to life factories? The Industrial Revolution is one of them, most of us wouldn't be here without it. What is the Industrial Revolution? It is the change of earth to how we know earth today. The industrial revolution changed earth so much by making more natural disasters, more radiation, the discovery of tectonic plates, what shape the world is, how it spines and the solar system. 

There used to be cottages before the Industrial Revolution. Before the Industrial Revolution you used horse and carts to get around. If you were important you wore a top hat. There was also heaps of grass. Jobs were passed generation to generation, so if your father was a blacksmith you would also be a blacksmith. This was known as the Agrarian Society.


With the discovery of electricity, man was drawn to creating things, but then they needed to create goods (such as steel)  faster, so they created the bessemer converter, but they needed to house it somewhere so they created factories. They also used factories to house other machines. Then James Watt improved the steam engine. Causing steam engines to be used on nearly everything.


There was not a lot of jobs back then and the job you'd do would of been decided by your great great great great grandfather. Until factories came and everyone went to factories. Cottages and castles went to large houses and mansions.  Causing more need for workers. Women also protested more rights and won. Land was taken over by buildings and factories. The transport changed as well, it changed from horse and cart to automobiles. Factories made everything.


The pros of the industrial revolution is globalization. Globalization is a pro because it allowed trade between countries, now, you could have a car made in China but it's engine could of been made Germany. Pollution is a con because it's destroying the waterways and air. Global warming is con as well. Population, it's a con because from new homes for the people.


After the industrial revolution the world changed a lot. Clothing was one of the things that changed. Clothing changed from dark colours like black and gray to light colours like yellow and blue. The technology also changed, it is most probably the thing that changed the most. There used used to be no cellphones but now everyone has them.



So the industrial revolution was one of the most important events in history. It changed so much, but people know so little. How much are you affected by the industrial revolution？ From houses to skyscrapers, our land has changed so much. Our world wouldn’t be how it is without the industrial revolution.
